This work was slightly bigger and needed a little more than just hand held chiseling tools, so I used fire. It is not the first time I have used fire to burn through materials. Wood however, was hardly affected by the flames. So in due time I did eventuly finish the piece purely by carving with my hand held tools. It was an acomplishment for me but I feel progress is in store. I not only want to go large scale, I want to reduct more in my process.
